Role Description The Public Health Projects Officer is a full-time, remote role responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring public health projects across various program areas. The Officer's will coordinate project activities, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with program goals and donor or partner requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, analyzing public health data, and supporting the design of interventions in areas such as community health, environmental health, and health promotion. The role involves preparing project reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, as well as contributing to grant proposals and project budgets. The Public Health Projects Officer's will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage with community partners and international authorities, and support training, outreach, and communication activities to maximize project impact.


Qualifications
 
Strong grounding in public health disciplines, including Environmental Health, Community Health, and Health Promotion.


Background in Medicine or a related clinical/health science field, with the ability to interpret and apply health guidelines and best practices.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including data collection, basic data analysis, and interpretation to inform program decisions.


Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Medicine, Community Health, Health Promotion, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.


Experience managing or supporting public health or community-based projects, preferably in a remote or distributed team environment.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise reports, presentations, and stakeholder updates.


Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines independently.


Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive public health practice, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse communities.
